Hi Joel. The flashlight adapter is not really adapter it is five bucks, old see trough 8 shape scope rings that I bought at gun show few years back. Who would guess? Now the gun mods: You will not believe this, but it all started as 2289 Backpacker. Yes...a pumper. Thanks to the Crossman forum I got sick like all of us. Just couldn't seat on same spot anymore. Now it is only 2289 barrel. Breech and bolt I ordered from Jim Giles CB (What a great guy). Tube, valve, hummer, barrel band from Crosman dealer here in Canada. Good service. Rest is easy. Valve fully redone based on directions from the forum. Tread cut, light spring, port angle, volume increased. Heavy hummer spring. Transfer port is wide and it is plastic tube now. Trigger job. Everything is polished and shine. Now wood work. I have to confess that idea I stole from Falcon website. Hey who cares, mine is better anyway and I don't offer it for sale. Almost forgot, I cut half of the handle frame to change the angle. It is little bet smoother now. Bipod is standard. The thing is loud and fast now. I don't know how fast but fast. About 20 shots per cylinder. I think that is it. Thanks for your interest Joel. Take care. Oleg. |
