Adjustable Rear Sights

How to make your rear sight finger adjustable.

1- Remove the rear sight blade from the sight. Cut a slot straight through the length of the sight slightly deeper than the sight blade screw hole.

3- Drill a hole all the way through about even with the sight blade screw hole. The hole should connect with the slot you just made.

2- Tap the hole from both sides you do not need to tap all the way through. Just enough to have about an eight of an inch travel in either direction.

4- Cut off the bottom part of the sight blade and file the bottom edges smooth.

5- Cut screws to the correct length and assemble your sight. I used socket head cap screws so I could turn them by hand. Loosen one and tighten the other to move the sight right or left. Be careful and see that you do not torque them to tight as the plastic is not all that strong here because of the mods you have done. This should help to make the sight adjustment more user friendly as they often tend to want to creep back to the place you last had them tightened down.
