Brent's MA2540 "ICED" Gun

I have named this one "ICED" due to the Ice Storm that is ROCKING us right now.(03/06/08)

This is a Custom MA2540 by Roy Weid from Mountain Air Custom Airguns based off a 2240 frame & tube Roy added a RJ Machine High Rise Breech by Robert & then the fun started..... it was CUSTOM machined to fit a 12" .25 Caliber Lothar/Wather barrel which was then covered with a Carbon Fiber Shroud & added to the mix with satin Aluminum end caped... Roy also added a Stainless Extended  Probe with a Large Aluminum Knob to the RJ Breech smooth as silk. I had Gil Make the Custom Double Narled Co2 End Cap out of Satin Aluminum along with a Rear when I change between the Custom Wire Stock which was also made by Gil.  CUSTOM Airgun Artisans Grips By Bruce Cox Supplied to me by "Tim & Sue".....  Dug up a BKL 253 1 Piece Mount from Straight Shooters & mounted it along with a 6x32 BugBuster..... this puppy is Tossin lead at 580+ indoors at 78 degrees Im sure she`ll do really good this summer in the 80`s....as of right now It`s puttin pellet in a Dime size hole at 20 meters & couldn`t be happier. Thanks to everyone that was involved on this one it is truely a ONE OF A KIND Piece!!! it will be cherished.... GROUNDHOG`S BEWARE hahahahaha... :-)

Andy in NC's 760

Is this a nice looking 760 or what!

The stock is built up from plywood.
The barrel is a 1760 barrel machined to fit by Roy
from Mountain Air.
The muzzle weight is a piece of iron gas pipe polished
and blued.

Mig Rod's 2240

This is a nice camo 2240

This is my 2240 with all mods done by myself with simple tools. The valve is modified for high power shots since I use it for hunting and pest control. The trigger and hammer were smoothed out for crisp let off. All the springs were replaced from the valve spring, trigger spring and hammer spring. The camo paint was done using green and brown colors with my own homemade stencils. Put some camo wrap for better grip. Replaced the stock barrel with a 24 inch 2260 barrel, which made a big difference in using up all the power of the modified valve, it shoots now with way more power than I will ever need. Installed an extra barrel band for added stability with the rifle scope. The shroud was made using an aluminum electric tubing and insulation. It is not for noise but looks and better weight balancing. This baby is a tack driver, hits hard and scary accurate. The best part, I turned a simple pistol into a hunting beast with only around 50 extra bucks and some simple mods done at my work shop.

Pat's 2250

Mini Me Condor

My kids call This gun the "mini me Condor". I was built by Roy at MountainAir/Photo22 and it's running off a 1200psi 13ci Regalated air tank from Matt Bean. The setup also has Rick Andres rosewood grips and Mac-1 machined PB/AS adapor with a Roy at MA Carbon fiber shroud over an 18" well setup Cosman barrel by Roy W. combind with a RJMachine high rise breech. In the sight department, the Bushnell Banner 6-24x40 is the tool I chose for this rig. After setting things up and getting the Reg. set right the gun is doing:

Total shots=92 off the Reg. with a 3000psi fill 13ci tank.
Avg. FPS= 719.6 with CP’s 14.3gr
Avg. FPE= 16.4

Avg. FPS= 605.6 with Kodiak's 21.0gr
Avg. FPE= 17.1

Mike's
(CarsonRatSniper) 13xx's

These are a nice looking pair of pumpers

Greg's custom 1322

This 1377c is the reason why I made the barrell bands. I have the outside of the airgun done now it is time to mod the inside. Here are some of the spec so far.

Brand new 1377c.
I never was shot a pellet threw it until I put the turned down 22 caliber barrell on it.
Grant Stace trigger and rear site.
RJ Machine left hand breech.
Custom Rosewood grips from Rick.

(Thanks to these guys for making some SWEET stuff.)

Bluefork brass barrell band with site, GMAC, brass breech plug, and custom cocking knob.

I also made the crown protector, brass pins for the pump handle, brass safety, polished the hammer, installed some allen head screws in the gripframe, and lightened the trigger pull to 2 pds.

Stuff I still need to do. Install a new Bluefork Valve and adjustable pump piston, port the inlet hole, make it shoot tacks and install some green tru-glo optics on the rear site. I'm really pleased with it so far.

Kevin's Creation
Here is my latest little baby.  It’s a Crossman 2240 base modified with a MA .25 cal top end set, 14” barrel, CB Ultimate Breech, RB Zebrawood Grips, B&A BOSS Valve, MA Delrin Muzzle Brake, MA Trigger Guide and Spring, trigger tune, and Leapers Golden Image Red/Green Dot Sight.  This is a really fun gun to shoot, with tons of knock down power and accuracy that rivals my 2200 carbine

Michael in FL's 2261

I’ve often wondered if a Baikal IZH 61 rifle could be converted to CO2, and after some pondering decided it would be easier to convert a CO2 rifle to an IZH 61.

Borrowing a few design elements from the Russians, this is what I came up with. The Crosman “2261”.

It started life as a stock 2250B. I added a Crosman steel breech with Picatinny rail, tuned the trigger, and added the stock and bloop tube.

I finally had an opportunity to shoot it for the first time today since it is finally all together, I was extremely pleased with the results. I haven't even done the poly transfer mod to it and I am getting 675-680FPS using 14.3gr CPs with the adjuster all the way in. With the adjuster turned down I get about 625FPS using 14.3gr CPs. I shot a couple of 21.1gr Beeman Kodiaks at about 570FPS. 14.6gr Beeman FTS were doing about 650FPS with max power. I imagine the poly transfer port mod will put me above the 700FPS mark with 14.3gr CPs on max power. Shot count on max power setting was about 15-17 shots, with it turned down I can get over 20.

Accuracy is excellent, I am printing about 1/2" at 20 yards without really trying too hard. I didn't take any pics of groups yet, but I will in upcoming days.

Next things to do will be a HDD for higher shot count and maybe the poly transfer port mod. Really, 680FPS is more than enough power for my range of shooting, so I may not do it. But I would like more shots though, so the HDD is a must.

This gun is definitely my favorite shooter so far. It's accurate, powerful, looks great(IMHO). I am going to have a great time shooting this gun for many years. Thank you to all of the guys(Grant Stace, Tim McMurray, Art Braden, Roy Weid) that make the incredible parts that allow me to build such a fine gun. I couldn't do it without you guys.

Here are some photos of the completed gun in various configurations(open sights and scoped with the LDC). Also there are some shots of the chrony numbers I was getting.  Here are the first 6 shots through the chrony with a brand new CO2 cartridge shooting 14.3gr CPs at max power: 676.2, 678.5, 677.9,680.0,675.6,676.2

Hope you enjoy, I know I do!
